A Legal DNA Test is required when the results will be used in any legal process. A legal test requires that several procedures and documentation are safeguarded, therefore, the test is performed at an approved collection site on the person(s) to be tested since the chain of custody for a sample must be maintained throughout the process. A witness who is not part of the family must be present when the DNA is collected.

How to Order a Legal DNA Test
1. Place Your Order
Complete the Test Order Form below to order your test. Once payment is processed you will receive an email within 24 hours (business hours) with a Test Authorization Order and the name/location of a clinic nearest you.
2. Get Tested
Take a printed copy of this email with the Test Authorization Order to the clinic listed in the email. Bring all of the people involved in the test to the clinic to be tested. The clinic will scan the barcode from the email and will administer your test.
3. Receive Your Results
Depending on your test type, your test results will be emailed to you within 1 to 3 business days. That’s it!
Informational DNA Tests*
Informational DNA Tests are performed for informational or “Peace of Mind” purposes, and therefore do not carry the strict requirements of Legal DNA tests. The sample can be collected by anybody, and they can be anonymous if they want to. For Informational DNA Testing, a kit will be sent directly to you, and the test can be performed in your home and sent back to the lab. Of course, the results cannot be used in legal cases.
If you don't need results for legal reasons like child support or custody, the advantages of an Information DNA Test are:
*Informational DNA Test can not be administered in the State of New York. All DNA tests in the State of New York must be legal DNA tests.
How to Order an Informational DNA Test
1. Place Your Order
Complete the Test Order Form below to order your test. Once payment is processed we will ship a Home DNA Test Kit to you so you can perform the test in your own home.
2. Collect the Samples
Follow the directions in the Home DNA Test Kit to collect samples from the of the people to be tested. To obtain the most accurate results make sure you follow the directions exactly.
3. Send the Samples to the Lab
Ship the collected samples back to the lab according to the kit directions.
4. Receive Your Results
Depending on your test type, your test results will be emailed to you within 1 to 3 business days. That’s it!
